The Successful Horse Bettor

Becoming a horse bettor is a great way to bring an vast amount of wealth into your life. If you have access to the internet, you can do this ''work'' without having to leave your home. In fact it is the perfect ''work from home'' career choice as the horse selection process doesn't take long, thus giving you the rest of the day off.

If you have a reasonably up to date smart phone, (with credit), you can make your horse racing investments whilst walking the dog at the local park or anywhere else you may find yourself. It really does't matter, so long as you can connect to the internet.

MANAGING A BANKROLL

You will need a bankroll to become a professional horse bettor. This money must be separate from any other money that you manage in your day to day finances. Do not even consider investing money that you can't afford to lose. You should buy groceries, pay off all of the household bills, fill the car with petrol and even give the kids their monthly pocket money allowance, first of all.

Before you give up your day job, you will need to build and compound your bankroll money into an amount that caters for all of your families needs. So building and compounding can be done in the background of your current job. Believe me, as you start to gain profit and build with your new income system, it will make your current ''9 to 5 job'' more bearable, knowing that there is light ahead.

A professional horse bettor needs to decide how much profit would be considered enough profit for a days successful winnings and once the daily target is reached, one should cease betting for that day.

Believe it or not, a beginner could start with a bankroll as little as just £10 or any amount of currency, that could be split into 100 units. This is a great way to test the water using minimal stakes, whilst proofing (testing), a particular tipster service. In this case, each stake investment unit would only be £0.10p. (yep just 10p). This amount would need to be increased or compounded as your winnings do, but of course, if you do happen to have a spare grand (£1000), lying around, all the better as your profits will grow much faster because your bet stakes would be a £10 stake per race investment.

At this level of staking the average person, who is seeking an extra income, would only need a single 5/1 winner per day to bag an extra £50 profit from a single £10 win bet and so long as there is a good bet to be had every day, this would amount to an extra £350 tax free profit every week. Just imagine having that extra £1,400 per month, in your bank, that could help pay towards some of your rent or mortgage, or even cover all of your utility bills like council tax, electricity, gas, phone and water rates.

When a bankroll target of £10,000 is reached the investment stakes and prize money grow very fast. Each daily bet will now be £100 and winning on horses at 5/1 at these stakes will pay a staggering £500 tax free profit per day, investing in a single win bet. Now that amounts to a jaw dropping £14,000 each month!

If you haven't read my post about the importance of a betting bankroll and how you can easily compound your winnings, you can find it by clicking here.

In the UK there are weekly news papers like The Racing post or Sporting life that can be bought from your local newsagent, however in these digital times, all the necessary racing form and other info can be found for free on the internet via their websites. Check out The Racing Post and Sporting Life also another easy to use website is At The Races .

POSITIVE BEHAVIOUR

To bring wealth into your life, you should play the roll and act like a successful horse bettor! Act like or pretend to be the person that you wish to become and miracles can truly happen. Just assume that ''you are'' and soon you ''will be''.

Take a shower every morning, be well groomed and it's a good idea to wear fine, neat and tidy clothing when being this new person, as sitting around all day in a scruffy tracksuit, (unless you are planning to go jogging), will not give the right mental impression to others, or yourself.

Do not brag or boast about your new source of income, it would do you well to be secretive about your new found wealth as people who back horses, tend to be frowned upon, even though horse racing is commonly known as ''The Sport Of Kings''.

You will find that having an air of mystery is far more attractive to others. If you can help it, stay away from the bookies (betting shops), and place your bets online, your new found career is far superior to that kind of lifestyle. Sitting in the bookies all day, smoking and drinking, placing bets on anything that moves is a short path to gambling addiction, failure and much misery in your life.

Do not make a habit of watching your racing investments down the local pub either. You can become a magnet or easy target to the unemployed, ne'er do-wells that frequently haunt these kinds of establishments on a regular daily basis. Take your partner out for a meal instead, it is far more respectable and believe me, will be highly appreciated by your ''better half'''.

I recommend using a desk to ''work'' at, or if possible a small office space in your home would be even better. It will help you to focus more on the task ahead.

Each Way Doubles

If you haven't checked out my previous post, which is a mini guide to each way horse betting, you can find it here and once you understand the basics and the benefits of the E/W bet, where you can at least recover your stake money with a 4/1 selection that would come in 2nd or 3rd, should your selected horse not win the race.

Well as nice as it is to have a kind of back up plan, the odds are still against us when it comes down to profit, so... Welcome and give praise to, ''the each way double''. This kind of bet is a far stronger investment and we can even except far shorter odds, as the returns can be amazing, should each selected horse come 1st.

Here is a quick example...

You need to select 2 horses that are favourite or close to fav, from 2 separate races, back them both each way and link both separate races as a ''double'', Should you bet these as singular, the profit isn't that great, even if they were to win as £1.00 E/W on Horse 1 @5/2 would only return £5.13p.

But double them up...

Horse 1 odds @ 5/2. Plus horse 2 (from a separate race or meeting), is also odds @ 5/2.
If both horses win you would get a much nicer return of £14.89p.
If only 1 horse wins and the other places or even if they both at least place, the return would be £2.64p and that's like getting a small profit of £0.64p from a losing bet.

Remember, these bets are minimal, using just a £1.00p E/W stake, (total bet =£2.00p).
But if we invest £10.00p on this E/W double, (total bet=£20.00p)
The return, should they both win would be £148.91p
If both at least place £26.41p and that's like getting a small profit of £6.41p from a losing bet.

As mentioned in a previous post, I like to invest in horses that are around 4/1 for E/W bets so that I am likely to get a return, should all not go to plan.
So, if I select 2 horses around @4/1 for my £1.00p E/W double (total cost £2.00p)...
Both win returns £29.00p
Both at least place £4.00p This is like doubling my investment from an almost losing bet.

If you find it hard and struggle to pick horses for each way doubles, trebles or any other kind of accumulator bets, check out Pinnacle Racing Tips.

Beginners Horse Betting Bankroll

Your horse betting bankroll is the most important weapon in your horse betting armory.

Each bankroll level has its own betting stake limit and it is vital that you don't go over your maximum stake amount, to become a successful horse racing investor.

So, you will need to give your full attention to keeping your bankroll intact.

You must be sure, that your bets are at the precise stake level, that your bankroll can afford at each level of horse betting, because building up your bankroll is important if you would like to make horse betting an extra means of income.

I have found it possible to start using the following betting system, with a tiny bankroll, but you must have the patience of a Saint, to start building your bankroll at this level of betting.

Bankroll of £10.00     Use only 2.5% of that  =  Total stake is £0.24p      So bet just £0.12p  E/W

Bankroll of £20.00     Use only 2.5% of that  =  Total stake is £0.50p      So bet just £0.25p  E/W

Bankroll of £40.00     Use only 2.5% of that  =  Total stake is £1.00p      So bet just £0.50p  E/W

Bankroll of £80.00     Use only 2.5% of that  =  Total stake is £2.00p      So bet just £1.00p  E/W

Bankroll of 160.00     Use only 2.5% of that  =  Total stake is £4.00p      So bet just £2.00p  E/W

Bankroll of £320.00   Use only 2.5% of that  =  Total stake is £8.00p      So bet just £4.00p  E/W

Bankroll of £640.00   Use only 2.5% of that  =  Total stake is £16.00p    So bet just £8.00p  E/W

As you can see, the stakes are very low, starting from just £0.12p Each/Way, so the total stake = £0.24p.

Horse races with 8+ horses will payout for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places and those that are close to the favourite horse prices, tend to win or at least place around 25% of the time, over all 8+ horse races.

So to get maximum wins at this level, the horse selection focus, should be on investing in only 1st, 2nd or 3rd favourite horses and bet them E/W, so that they will either win, giving us a fair profit or at least get a 2nd or 3rd place, which should at least give us a slight return on our initial investment.

Horse betting is trading

In these digital days, you should be using the internet to gain a far more superior back ground knowledge of horse racing but, if you do still have to visit the bookies to place your bets, get in and out as quick as you can.

There is nothing positive to see or do in these places, so move on.

When done correctly, you will find that, horse betting isn't gambling.

Horse betting is actually ''trading'', just like investing in stocks and shares, only horse betting is more fun to watch.

Horse betting is far more strategic than just selecting a horse, because you like the name of it or the name has some emotional value to you.

Even the number of the horse, can lead people to select the wrong horse to win a race.

Never let the name of a horse cloud your judgement.

Lucy names and lucky numbers, are chosen by many untrained horse bettors, but this has no strategic purpose and this is what is better known as ''gambling''.

Betting single wins, each way and each way doubles are great, but if you plan to bet these horses in trebles or any other type of accumulators with these, you are seriously, reducing the odds of a good strong bankroll profit.

I have found it best to keep each bet as a single, stand alone investment.

Each Way Horse Betting

a pound each way

You need to have a rough idea about the basic structure of  horse betting with each way places and payouts.

Non handicap races

2-4 runners pays the winner only, (1st).

5-7 runners pays 1/4 the odds for the first 2 places, (1st, 2nd).

8+ runners pays 1/5 the odds for the first 3 places, (1st, 2nd, 3rd).

Handicap Races

2-4 runners pays the winner only, (1st).

5-7 runners pays 1/4 the odds for the first 2 places, (1st, 2nd).

8-11 runners pays 1/5 the odds for the first 3 places, (1st, 2nd, 3rd).

12-15 runners pays 1/4 the odds for the first 3 places, (1st, 2nd, 3rd).

16+ runners pays 1/4 the odds for the first 4 places, (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th).

Once you understand the betting structure you are good to go and invest your money into the horse betting field. Each way investments are far safer than backing horses to win. Each way bets are split into two separate bets, 1 x bet for the horse to win and 1 x bet for the horse to place 1st, 2nd or 3rd.

Race horses with odds of at least 4/1 can be a good investment for E/W horse betting, so as you can see below, any odds less than 4/1 will not recover the full stake amount should the horse only place. But should the horse win @4/1, your investment would have made you a clear £5.00 profit on your £2.00p stake.

In these examples, stakes are £1.00 E/W (total £2.00p) and these places pay 1/4 odds, not 1/5.

         ODDS                        WIN             PLACE (1/4 odds)
            2/5                           £2.50p                    £1.10p
          11/10                         £3.38p                    £1.28p
           2/1                            £4.50p                    £1.50p
           5/2                            £5.13p                    £1.63p
           3/1                            £5.75p                    £1.75p
          10/3                           £6.17p                    £1.83p
           4/1                            £7.00p                    £2.00p
           9/2                            £7.63p                    £2.13p
           5/1                            £8.25p                    £2.25p
          11/2                           £8.88p                    £2.38p
           6/1                            £9.50p                    £2.50p
         13/2                            £9.80p                    £2.00p
           7/1                            £10.75p                  £2.75p
         15/2                            £11.38p                  £2.88p
          8/1                             £12.00p                  £3.00p

Obviously outsiders, or horses with prices of 20/1 or more, do actually win or place, from time to time, but investing in horses with shorter odds is a far safer way to bet, however, if a long string of loses should ever occur, never increase your betting stake to try and gain your losses.

Doing this will eat away at your bankroll, super fast, so you should go back to the previous bankroll level of betting and start again.

Yo your success, Bet Tips UK.

Horse Betting Loophole

Hey, i've just finished reading the Betting Scientist's book titled, "How to Earn a Living From Horse Betting". it's a really informative read and on page 55, he talks about the money management methods you should never use. It made me think how many people still use these Martingale style loss recovery methods to stake their sporting and gambling bets.

This is the absolute worst way to structure any betting system.

There are dozens of betting systems based around loss recovery methods and most of them don't tell you about the eventual pitfall of such a betting system, and soon after your money has gone, the people who sell such systems are also, long gone with your money.

https://tinyurl.com/bet-tips-ukTo learn about stake plans that do actually work you need to read the Betting Scientist's FREE book titled "How to Earn a Living From Horse Betting". It's the most honest and valuable advice I've ever come across in the work from home industry.

On page 50 he explains how you can earn £150 per day with horse racing, by starting a professional betting bank with just £187.50.

This method WORKS, is actually SAFE and it's great FUN too!
